Installing DRLs

Installing daytime running lights (DRL) on a car can be done in various ways. However, it is important to take into account the requirements of the legislation and GOST when connecting DRL. The connection is carried out in such a way that when the ignition is turned on, the lights turn on automatically, and when the main headlights are turned on, they turn off.

You can look at the instructions for installing DRL on any car with your own hands:

1. Having decided on a place on the bumper or in the headlights. If you are going to install on the bumper, you will initially need to install mounting brackets for the DRL units on it.

2. It is advisable to use brackets for the bumper, it is best to screw them on with self-tapping screws - this fixation is considered the most reliable. If you are installing in the headlights, you can use glue or double-sided tape.

3. After that, the DRL unit is attached to the underhood cavity. It is recommended to place it as close to the battery as possible. The unit can be fixed with either double-sided tape or mounting clamps.

4. Along the edge of the body, it is necessary to stretch the cable from the unit to the bracket on the bumper or in the headlight.

5. The LEDs are attached to the bumper or in the headlight, fixed with brackets, tape or glue, the wire is connected to the unit.
